White rabbit candy (China)

 White rabbit candy (China)

I ordered these white rabbit candies from an oriental shop online, they were listed in the chinese new year products so thought we would give them a try.

The information on the packet is all in oriental font so not easy to make out, google has helped us. They are a type of milk chew that is wrapped in an edible race paper (not the main wrapper).

The sweets are a creamy white colour, about 3cm long by about 1cm wide and looked like a small chewy sweet. They didnt have much of a smell to be honest, there is a hint of something sort of milk/ice-cream etc but its not strong. B wasn't sure about the rice paper outer and made me eat mine first (thanks son!) It was as it says edible rice paper, not as thick as the rice paper cake toppers you can get in UK, but this is proper chinese rice paper. I could taste them as a milky sweet and was quite sickly and reminded me of milky bars white chocolate. B said he could taste something but wasnt sure what it was.  They were quite solid and took ages to soften to a chew, i'm not sure if this is because they had only just been delivered and possibly been out in the cold.

Neither of us really liked them and wouldnt eat them again! (Great as i have a 180g bag full!)
