Lucky Candy (China)
This bag of sweets was bought in Chinatown, Manchester. We didn't know what they would be like but thought we would try them.
There are lots of individually wrapped sweets in the bag, they are between 1-2cm long each. The packing is red and has gold lettering on. Although we got them from a Chinese shop, the internet says they are widely eaten in many Asian countries.
Upon opening they are a solid white sweet with a pinky-red part in the center. These ones are strawberry flavour. They smelt quite nice but we couldn't work out of what. As you suck them the outer white disappears and you are left with a slightly hard but chew able red center. The taste reminded us all of something but none could work out what it was.
They were nice and we would eat again (good job as we have a bag full!)
